The Slip ‘N Slide is a highly popular toy that allows kids to skid through backyards soaking with delight in their very own world of water. This widespread toy was invented in 1960, by a man named Robert Carrier. It occurred when Robert arrived home and noticed that his kids were attempting to slide on concrete coated with water because it was too hot. the next day, Robert brought home a 50-foot roll of Naugahyde, which he unraveled on the driveway. The vinyl-coated, waterproof fabric was a vast improvement—slicker and safer—over the perilous concrete. By customizing it a little more, the Slip 'N Slide was invented. Before they knew it, there were a bunch of Slip 'N Slide commercials. They were still black and white, but you could easily tell that kids were having a ton of fun while flying across their lawn. By 2011, over thirty million Silp 'N Slides were marketed! Well, that is it for this article and I hope you learned something new!
