A New Vision for Farming

Programs like Geneva Peeps are working to combine farms and solar panels and Geneva Peeps is a community egg cooperative. Forty families in a New York community work together and care for the chickens. These birds live under solar panels that use sunlight and turn it into electricity. They also serve as protection from sun, rain, and hawks. This is a new idea that combines farming and solar power. They can raise crops or livestock and produce electricity from sunlight at the same time. Animals can help solar panel fields sine their manure helps the soil. However, it doesn't work as well with some animals like goats since they could chew up the wires. Also, some farmers are planting crops near them since it can help the plants got more fruits. Zoos Make Birthday Cakes

In summer 2019, Nenette the Bornean orangutan and Henry, an Aldabra tortoise received birthday cakes created of treats they consume. Zoos around the globe celebrate animals' birthdays and the cakes are composed of what the animal frequently eats. Lisa Riley is an animal scientist and she said the cakes can make an animal feel better because the animal gets to answer problems. It also gives it a chance to try dissimilar tastes and textures. Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan are pandas that are twins and live at the Taipei Zoo. The pandas get birthday cakes each year while parts of the cake are hidden. The pandas have to search for the food which is similar to what pandas have to do in the wild. In 2019, the twins got an ice cake which was in the shape of a unicorn. Birthday parties for zoo animals are popular but they are not new, though, since, in the 1930s, the Bronx Zoo served a cake to a hippopotamus. Has NASA discovered another Earth?

Astronomers have discovered a new planet and it is similar to Earth. This unique planet is called Kepler-1649c and is named after the Kepler Space Telescope. Kepler-1649c is 300 light-years away from Earth and a light-year is how far light moves in one year. Outside of our solar system, scientists have found more than 2,000 exoplanets and one thing makes finding this new planet better than others which is that Kepler-1649c is a lot like Earth. Kepler-1649c is only slightly larger than Earth and like our sun, a star gives the new planet light, it receives almost as much light as Earth. Also, scientists think it is about just as warm, too. Andrew Vanderburg is a scientist and works at a university. He helped a lot by writing studying about Kepler-1649c. Numerous states within the U.S. may begin to be utilizing mail-in voting for the 2020 election. Mail-in voting is sending your votes instead of voting at polling places. Since polling places are extremely crowded, this could increase the possibility of getting the Coronavirus, which is a life-threatening virus that could potentially annihilate people. However, mail-in voting still has many serious problems though. Some of these problems are that some votes might be blocked or misplaced. Also, dishonesty could become easier, so many Americans may not believe the results of the election. Since many people do not do mail-in voting, there may be many concerns and challenges. For example, some states do not have the time to set up a vote by mail system or some people do not know the rules of voting by mail system. The First Pictures of a Black Hole

Notwithstanding this initial period, experts possess some pictures of black holes. A black hole is a range of tremendous gravitational strength which is a variety of infinite abyss within space. Anything that becomes extremely close is consumed by its gravity which not even light can avoid. A distinct photograph presents an immense black hole and is approximately 54 million light-years away from Earth. It remains at the focus of the tremendous M87 galaxy. The image was captured by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) which is not a single telescope but rather, it is a group of eight telescopes that achieve contemporaneously. The new picture shows the boundary between light and dark around a black hole and the area is named the event horizon. In April 2017, EHT astronomers on four continents worked together to take pictures of M87 while spending five days taking pictures and two years studying what they had.
